About our National Women's Super League (NWSL) news

Latest news on the National Women's Super League (NWSL), the top professional women's soccer league in the United States. The league was founded in 2012 and currently consists of 12 teams. The NWSL is sanctioned by U.S. Soccer and is the highest level of women's soccer in the United States.

The NWSL season runs from April to September. Each team plays 24 games, with 12 games at home and 12 games on the road. The top 6 teams at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are a single-elimination tournament, with the winner of the championship game being crowned the NWSL champion.

The NWSL has produced some of the best players in the world, including Abby Wambach, Alex Morgan, and Megan Rapinoe.
