El Tricolor represent Mexico in international football and are operated by the Mexican Football Federation, competing as a member of CONCACAF. The country has hosted two previous World Cups, in 1970 and 1986, and will co-host the 2026 World Cup alongside the US and Canada.

Hugo Sánchez, Rafael Márquez and Javier Hernandez are just a few of the many talented footballers to have come through the Mexican National Team ranks and play for their country.
