About our Anaheim Ducks news
Latest news on the Anaheim Ducks, a professional ice hockey team based in California who compete in the Pacific Division of the NHL's Western Conference.
Founded in 1993 by the Walt Disney Company, the team were originally called the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim based on the 1992 film, The Mighty Ducks. After the team was sold in 2005, the Mighty Ducks were rebranded to the Anaheim Ducks. They play their home games at the Honda Center.
They won their first and only current Stanley Cup title at the end of the 2006/07 season after defeating the Ottawa Senators over five games.
The Ducks also have minor league affiliations with the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League (AHL) and the Tulsa Oilers of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
