About our G7 news
The G7, also known as the Group of Seven, is an intergovernmental organisation made up of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and the United States.
The heads of government of these nations, alongside representatives from the EU, meet at the annual G7 Summit.
In 2014, Russia was suspended by G7 members following the annexation of Crimea. In 2017, Russia decided to permanently leave the G8, and this was confirmed in 2018.
