About our 2023 Parliamentary Elections in Slovakia news

Latest news on the 2023 parliamentary elections in Slovakia, which were held on September 30, following a no-confidence vote lost by the government in 2022. The left-wing populist party Smer-SD led by Robert Fico won with 42 seats, though failing to achieve a majority of 76 seats. Liberal Progressive Slovakia and former Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini's Hlas-SD followed, winning 32 and 27 seats respectively, with Hlas-SD becoming the kingmaker.

The next Slovak parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held by 2027.
