About our NAACP news

Latest news on the NAACP, or National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, America's oldest and largest civil rights organisation, established in 1909. It was formed in New York City by white and black activists, partially in response to the ongoing violence against African Americans around the country. The NAACP works for the abolition of segregation and discrimination in housing, education, employment, voting, and transportation; to oppose racism; and to ensure African Americans their constitutional rights.
