About our San Diego Padres news...

Latest news on the San Diego Padres, a professional baseball team based in San Diego, California, and part of the National League’s West Division. Established in 1969 the Padres joined the MLB as one of four new expansion teams making them one of the newer team in Major League Baseball.

Throughout their history the Padres have won two National League Pennants in 1984 and 1998 where on both occasions they went on to lose the World Series. The side plays in the colours of brown, gold and white.

The Padres play their home games at the Petco Park in San Diego, a ballpark that opened in 2004 and has a capacity of over 40,000. The MLB outfit moved to the newly built stadium after spending over 30 years at the multi-purpose ground the San Diego Stadium.
