About our Chicago Cubs news
Latest news on the Chicago Cubs, a professional baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois and part of the National League’s Central Division. Established in 1876, the Cubs are one of the sport’s oldest sides and were one of the founding members of the National League. Initially known as the Chicago White Stockings the side changed their name on several occasions before rebranding to the Chicago Cubs in 1903.
Throughout their extensive history the Cubs have had mixed success in the MLB. The Chicago based side have won 17 National League Pennants but have only turned three of those League wins into World Series titles. The first two Championship wins by the Cubs came in 1907 and 1908 before the side suffered a 108-year drought before securing their third title in 2016. The team’s colours are blue, red and white.
Also known as The Cubbies or the Lovable Losers, the MLB outfit play their home games at Wrigley Field, a stadium they’ve called home for over 100 years.
