    Ohio is considered a swing state. In the federal government, Ohio is represented by two U.S. Senators and fifteen U.S. Representatives. One Senator, J.D. Vance, is Republican whilst the other, Sherrod Brown, is a Democrat. Of the fifteen Representatives, ten are Republicans whilst the other five are Democrats. Ohio has a Republican governor, Mike DeWine, who was reelected in 2022. The state legislature is also controlled by the Republican, who have majorities in both chambers.
