Nevada is considered a swing state. In the federal government, Nevada is represented by two U.S. Senators and four U.S. Representatives. Both Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen are Democrats. Of the four Representatives, three are Democrats and one is a Republican. Nevada has a Republican governor, Joe Lombardo, who was elected in 2022. The state legislature is also controlled by the Democrats, who have majorities in both chambers.
