Both Senators Bill Cassidy and John Neely Kennedy are Republican. Of the six Representatives, five are Republicans and one is a Democrat. Jeff Landry is the current Republican governor-elect of Louisiana. The state legislature is also controlled by the Republicans, who have majorities in both chambers.
