He is best known for being a cast member on the Bravo reality show Vanderpump Rules, which follows the lives of the staff at Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants in Los Angeles. Tom Sandoval also co-owns two bars, Tom Tom Restaurant & Bar and Schwartz & Sandy's, with his friend and fellow cast member Tom Schwartz.

He also co-authored a book on cocktails with his ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix, who he dated for nine years before breaking up in 2023 after he cheated on her with another cast member, Raquel Leviss.
