About our Pittsburgh Penguins news

Latest news on the Pittsburgh Penguins, a professional ice hockey team based in Pennsylvania who compete in the Metropolitan Division of the NHL's Eastern Conference.

Founded in 1967 as part of the National Hockey League's expansion, the Penguins play their home games at the PPG Paints Arena located in downtown Pittsburgh.

They have five Stanley Cup titles to their name, with the most recent feat coming in the 2016/17 season where they defeated the Nashville Predators over six games.

The Pens also have minor league affiliations with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL) and the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
